The application process is easy and is a great way to protect all of your Black Bow jewelry. We highly recommend this service for...

  • Athletes (especially for bracelets and chains)
  • Those who work with their hands (especially for bracelets, and rings)
  • Delicate jewelry items (especially for hollow chains or bracelets or anklets and earrings that can get caught on clothing or hair)
  • Those who sit and stand or bend down often. (especially for necklaces, chains and bracelets)
  • Young jewelry wearers. (we find that they can be especially hard on jewelry)

What is Covered*

  • Defects in manufacturer's workmanship and/or materials
  • Broken, bent, or worn prongs, clasps and hinges
  • Knotted or broken links in necklaces, bracelets and anklets
  • Broken or lost pins and earring posts
  • Restringing of stretched pearl necklaces
  • Re-shanking of rings if they are worn/broken
  • Ring sizing (after 90 days) as a result of weight change
  • Refinishing and polishing
  • Re-plating of rhodium on white gold when/if it wears off
  • Earring repair
  • Chain soldering
  • Resetting diamonds and gemstones
  • Repair of chipped or cracked stones (including center stones)
  • Replacement for the loss of diamond or gemstone center stones or side/enhancement stones up to a maximum of .50 carats, due to a defect in the setting or accidental damage
  • Watches - accidental breakage of stem or band, case and crystal
  • Watches - replacement for loss of stones from bezel up to a maximum of .10 carats
  • Watches - battery replacement

 What is NOT Covered

  • External causes of any kind including third party actions, fire, theft, animals, acts of God or other consequential loss of any nature. (These circumstances would be covered under renters insurance or your homeowners policy)
  • Damage from abnormal use, abuse, misuse, mishandling, or neglect
  • Any items purchased for commercial purposes or for rental
  • Any other loss other than the jewelry item insured
  • Any damage resulted from an abnormal use of the product
  • Damaged, lost or stolen gemstones over .50 carats (those should be covered with your normal home/renters insurance policy)
  • Any unauthorized modifications and repairs
  • Watches - cosmetic damage such as dents, scratches or fraying of band
  • Watches - fading of luminous, peeling of paint or bezel
  • Keychains, pins, bracelet beads and money clips are not covered

    FAQ's

    I purchased an item of yours from Amazon. Can I add insurance to my order?

    No, unfortunately items you purchase from other sites cannot be covered. You need to have purchased the item directly from our site at www.theblackbow.com

    I didn't purchase a protection plan when I placed my order. Can I do it after?

    YES, You have approximately 20 days after your order is placed to purchase a plan. Please reach out to us at service@theblackbow.com and we can start the process.

    I returned the item that was insured, Can I get a refund on my insurance policy?

    Yes! If you decide to cancel the policy within 60 days of purchase and no claims have been made, you will receive a 100% refund. If a claim HAS been made on the policy, then your refund is prorated based on the claim.
